What type of clients do you work with?

We work with a wide assortment of clients – from small scale consulting projects to much larger and detailed endeavors. At TLM Organizing, we are committed to helping our clients meet their  goals. To that end, it is critical that our clients view our services as an investment and are ready to commit to and participate in the process. Whether we are helping you organize your finances and bookkeeping systems or setting up a home office, creating change does not happen overnight, it takes continued effort and maintenance on behalf of the client to achieve lasting results. We enjoy working with clients who are ready to learn, listen and roll up their sleeves.

How do I get started?

To get to know one another and really understand the project we begin with a brief telephone interview and follow-up with a one-hour Intake Assessment if necessary. The interview/assessment provides us the opportunity to evaluate your needs and determine your goals. Before our initial meeting, we will send by email, fax, or web link, an initial assessment questionnaire. This will help to facilitate the organizing process and save you time and money by making our on-site time together efficient and cost-worthy. Following the consultation, you will receive a follow-up email summarizing our visit and detailing recommendations. If we mutually determine that TLM Organizing is a good fit for your project, we will schedule our first “working session.” If any supplies are required for the project (containers, file folders, labels, etc.) it is the client’s responsibility to acquire them before our session. If you prefer, TLM Organizing will do the shopping for you – hourly rates will apply.

How long does it usually take to get someone organized?

It is difficult to give an exact estimate of how long it will take to complete a project. Every client has a unique set of needs and work style. Things to consider are the scope of the project and/or the level of disorganization. The speed with which clients make decisions, their ability to change their organizational habits, and their interest in completing “homework assignments” between sessions weigh heavily on the length of time it will take to complete the project. Following our initial assessment we will provide you with an estimated timeframe based upon our experience.

How are appointments scheduled?

Sessions are scheduled during or after our initial meeting. To help maintain the projects momentum, we encourage our clients to schedule a series of appointments based upon their schedule and budget – we are happy to make weekly, bi-weekly or even monthly appointments. Most appointments are scheduled in three or four-hour sessions allowing enough time to make progress without feeling overwhelmed.  Daily money management and ongoing bookkeeping services are scheduled according to client needs.
