About 

Tracey L. Messner, founder and principal consultant of TLM Organizing, is a bookkeeper and professional organizer specializing in financial, home office and estate organization.  With a natural energy and passion for her work Tracey encourages her clients to find the value in being "reasonably" organized and in maintaining relevant, accurate and reliable systems and records.  Tracey works with her clients to create an organizing "map of intention" that is consistent with the client's priorities and values.

For just over a decade, Tracey served as the bookeeper/controller of a small home health care company in Santa Barbara, California. During that time she also provided small business organization and QuickBooks consulting to a variety clients. 

In late 2006, Tracey launched TLM Organizing, combining her work experience and education with her love for order, organization, and simplicity. Inspiring and motivating her clients, she helps them to sort out and manage their finances, time, paper, and priorites more efficiently. 

While not working or attending to the demands of a busy family, she can usually be found in the garden, the kitchen, the nearest home improvement store, taxiing the kids, walking the dog or enjoying a yoga or Pilates class.

Professional training and affiliations:

Tracey holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in French from San Jose State University and has completed numerous continuing education and graduate level courses in accounting and human resource management.

She is a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers, the American Institute of Professional Bookkeeper’s, the Association of Daily Money Managers and the National Association of Certified Public Bookkeepers. Tracey is also a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor. Her continued membership in these organizations as well as participation in various classes and workshops enables her to stay current on issues relevant to the profession.
